A MONTH OF PRAYER FOR THE DIOCESE

As part of our collective preparation as a Diocese toward the impending Episcopal Ordination (Friday, 24th. September, 2021), the period 15th. August-15th. September, 2021 (the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows) has been declared a MONTH OF PRAYER FOR THE DIOCESE.

The Clergy Religious and Christ’s Faithul are all entreated to join in a prayer of gratitude to God for his abundant blessings and of supplication for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to unite, guide and empower us as a Diocese at the threshold of a new beginning.

The period is meant for all of us to pause for prayer and reflection on what it means to be Church.

May the MONTH OF PRAYER FOR THE DIOCESE invigorate us with a new fervour in our common vocation as Christians and Disciples of Christ, baptised and sent, to proclaim God’s love and saving deeds in our communities and to bear witness to the values of the Kingdom of God by our words and actions.

A prayer has been prepared for use after every Mass in all churches and institutions in the Diocese. The prayer leaflets will soon reach the parishes and institutions.

May God bless each and every one of you!
