MARTYRS OF UGANDA CATHOLIC CHURCH DONATES TO HOLY CHILD CATHOLIC HOSPITAL


The Martyrs of Uganda Catholic Church, Beach Road-Takoradi, as part of their 25th anniversary celebration made a donation to the Holy Child Catholic Hospital, Fijai – Takoradi on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Items presented includes food items, bottled drinks and water, tissue papers, detergents and a Firefly Phototherapy Machine. The firefly phototherapy is a machine that helps prevent new born babies from Neonatal jaundice.
This month marks the World Child Jaundice Period, in view of this the Parish decided to celebrate and share these items with the hospital.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Francis Atta Aidoo, the Health Director of the Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese received the items on behalf of the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. John Baptist Attakruh.
He expressed his profound appreciation on behalf of the Bishop, the Health Board, the Management/staff and the entire patients of the hospital to parishioners of Martyrs of Uganda Catholic Church for the kind gesture
He prayed for the donors and asked for God’s blessing and strength for them as they celebrates their anniversary.
The Silver Jubilee celebration will be climax on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Present at the presentation ceremony were Rev. Fr. Michael Buah ( Parochial Vicar), Mr. Jimmy Nab Daisie ( PPC, Vice President), Sir Kt. Dr. Sir Bernard Boateng-Duah ( Chairman, Jubilee Planning Committee), Mr. Anthony Sarpey (Vice Chairman, Jubilee Planning Committee) together with some parishioners.
