APOSTOLIC ADMINISTRATOR COMMISSIONS THREE-UNIT CLASSROOM BLOCK AT ASANKRA-BREMAN
The Apostolic Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi, Very Rev. Fr. John Baptist Attakruh on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, commissioned a three-unit classroom block in the Asankra-Breman community in the Amenfi West District of the Western Region.
The project named St. Michael’s Catholic Kindergarten School was commenced in 2017 under the patronage of Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp, then Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi who provided the initial funding.
The project was further supported by Miss Doris Singh, a benefactress from the United States and her family. Their contribution covered about 70% of the total cost of the project.
Parishioners of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Asankra-Breman also supported the project in both cash and kind.
The three-unit classroom block which also includes an office and a storeroom was initiated by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Johnson, the Parish Priest to augment the effort of the government to increase access to quality basic education in the community.
