Bro. Peter Mintir Amadu, a Clinical Health Psychologist and Head of the Clinical Psychology Unit at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, was on September 12, 2020, installed as the Foundation Grand Knight of Council number 153, Sacred Heart Parish, Tamale.


Bro. Ebenezer Nii Armah, a teacher by profession was also installed as Deputy Grand Knight with 20 other Office Bearers who constitute the first administration of the Council were installed into office by Worthy Bro. Philip Issahaku Ziblim, the Tamale Regional Grand Knight

The Installation Team also included Worthy Bro. Malex Alebikiya, Assistant Supreme Youth Coordinator (North), as Installation Secretary, Bro. Thomas Azuure, Regional Master of Ceremonies, as Installation Guard, and Bro. Rev. Fr. Anthony Kankam Frimpong, Regional Chaplain, as Installation Chaplain.

In his maiden speech as Grand Knight, Bro. Amadu pledged to serve with integrity and be accountable. He outlined his vision which is anchored on four broad thematic areas namely, growing the Order, strengthening the financial base of the Council, employing the use of internet technology to facilitate Council business and instituting welfare schemes for members. He appealed to Brothers of the new Council to commit themselves to the collective task of building a strong and viable Council to leave a legacy for posterity.


The newly installed Grand Knight was initiated at Council 27, Tamale, on March, 19, 2011. He was among the first batch of Brothers who were initiated after the consecration of Council 102, Holy Cross Parish, Tamale, on August 13, 2010, which significantly dwindled the membership of the mother Council. The group was christened, “The revival Brothers”.

Bro. Amadu was until his installation, the MAREDES Officer of Council 27. He successfully sat for the Lower Degree Examination in 2013 and went through the Mystic Psychology Course in 2016. A parishioner of the Our Lady of Fatima Parish at 6BN, Kamina barracks, Tamale, he is married to Sis. Lydia Bobrnuo of Court 145, Tamale, and they have three children.

The newly installed Grand Knight is also the Chief Executive Officer of Total Life Enhancement Centre, a psychology and mental health Non-Governmental Organization based in Tamale.
